The arts are basic to education and have a tremendous impact on the developmental growth of every child. In addition to studying the arts for arts sake, experiencing and making works of art benefits students in their intellectual, personal and social development. In fact, research studies point to strong correlations between learning the arts and the fundamental cognitive skills used to master core subjects such as reading, writing and history.

One of the Palace’s primary objectives involves working closely with area academic institutions on the development of a comprehensive and exemplary arts and education program that instills today’s youth with a passion for the arts. This has included the creation of a Broadway-based student workshop series, arts and academic integrated in-school and after-school programs, hands-on job-shadowing and internship programs, as well as a theater journalism program.

Not only do we consider it our responsibility to present programs that are curriculum based and entertaining, but our mission to provide students, both young and old, with qualitative arts experiences that encourage creative thought, critical thinking, positive self expression and the desire to learn.
