Celebrate global icon Bob Marley’s 70th birthday with a once-in-a-lifetime concert experience starring pop and reggae superstar Maxi Priest and the legendary Junior Marvin from Bob Marley’s original Wailers.
“Get Up, Stand Up” to Marley's greatest hits including “One Love,” “Redemption Song,” “Jammin',”“No Woman No Cry,” "Three Little Birds," "I Shot the Sheriff" and countless others. British vocalist Maxi Priest will also perform a selection of his international hits, including “Easy to Love,” “That Girl,” and “Wild Ones,” and Connecticut's own Anthem Reggae Band will open the show, which is hosted by Jenny Boom Boom and Philip Duncan.
Jamaican singer, musician and songwriter Bob Marley served as a world ambassador for reggae music and sold more than 20 million records throughout his career. Since his passing on May 11, 1981, his legend looms larger than ever, as evidenced by an ever-lengthening list of accomplishments attributable to his music, which championed for social change while allowing listeners to forget their troubles and dance.
