Jane Monheit Winter CabaretDecember 19, 2014
With a distinctive style that straddles the line between Ella Fitzgerald and Linda Eder, Jane Monheit is a vocal virtuoso.
In just over 15 years, the critically-acclaimed jazz vocalist’s honey-smooth vocals, silky phrasing and natural knack for storytelling have earned her two Grammy nominations and established her as one of her generation’s most beloved and accomplished vocalists in both the jazz and cabaret worlds.
In this private, Winter Cabaret performance, Monheit reunites with Birdland regulars Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch for an intimate evening of cabaret in the Palace Poli Club. Accompanied by Rick Montalbano on drums and Neal Miner on bass, the trio will bring a wealth of musical experience to Waterbury, as they perform tightly harmonized swing arrangements and lush ballads from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s, along with some holiday numbers.
A limited number of $60 high-top table seats in the rear of the room are now available to this private cabaret performance. Click here to buy tickets to the 7pm show, or click here to buy tickets to the 9pm show.
