Wine & Jazz: The Ultimate PairingJanuary 17, 2014
Treat yourself to a truly interactive wine tasting and jazz experience hosted by a unique husband and wife team.
Throughout the evening, guests will take part in tasting a variety of wines, each celebrating an historic era of jazz from the 20th century, led by NPR’s “A Moment in Wine” host and owner of New England Wine Cellars, Fred Tregaskis. During each tasting, internationally-acclaimed trumpet player Louise Baranger and her trio will perform spirited jazz sets to accompany each wine.
Baranger is an accomplished and experienced instrumentalist with fire, range, and sophistication. She has performed at most major jazz festivals, on television, and for two US presidents. Her band has played for the Emmy Awards in Hollywood, CA., and at the Millennium New Year’s Eve celebration at Boston's Symphony Hall.
