CHALK IT UP TO FUN!
Main Street, Waterbury to host 2nd Annual Downtown Draw

WATERBURY – Main St.Waterbury with the Northwest CT Convention and Visitor’s Bureau invites students, amateurs, and individual artists alike to use their imagination and chalk up the Waterbury Green at the 2nd Annual Downtown Draw on Saturday, September 30, from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

On the day of the event, registered teams consisting of one to five members will create chalk murals along the Downtown Green sidewalks. Chalk will be provided for each team, but participants are encouraged to bring their own supplemental supplies. The winning team will be awarded a 2006 Downtown Draw trophy, additional prizes and local notoriety. Waterbury Arts Magnet School and the YMCA currently hold the winning titles.

The event is scheduled to take place on September 30, rain or shine. In the case of inclement weather, an alternative venue will be provided.
