WATERBURY – The Palace Theater will color its stage with life lessons and family fun when the upbeat musical Amber Brown Is Not a Crayon entertains audiences on Friday, November 3, at 9:30AM and 11:30AM.
Created and presented by ArtsPower National Touring Theatre, Amber Brown Is Not a Crayon is a 60 minute long children’s play based on the best-selling series by author Paula Danziger. Told in a uniquely funny and forthright style, this story of a feisty young girl whose best friend is moving away will touch and entertain audiences everywhere. Patrons will laugh and cry with Amber as she struggles to come to terms with Justin’s departure and learns some valuable lessons about the virtues of patience and the meaning of friendship. Part of the ShopRite Palace Study Hall Education Series, Amber Brown Is Not a Crayon focuses on Language Arts, music and character development skills that are best suited for grades 2 – 6. SmART Initiatives inclusive of study guides, architectural tours and theater etiquette guides are available to teachers coordinating field trips to the event. Tickets for Amber Brown Is Not a Crayon are $8.00 and on sale now. Individual tickets can be purchased by phone at 203-755-4700 or online at palacetheaterct.org.
