FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 13, 2006 CONTACT: Daniel Grasso (203) 910-5078 SCENERY IN THE CITY Local photographer displays art at Palace Theater
WATERBURY – Waterbury photographer Daniel Grasso is bringing a bit of scenery to the city in a showcase featuring his landscape photography, November 8 through the end of the month in the Palace Theater front window case. The selected artwork on display represents a diverse collection of landscapes from New England, the Canadian Rockies, the Carolinas and a few familiar images from Waterbury. In addition, the exhibit features several photographs using unconventional techniques, such as long exposure and overlays of multiple images made into one. Growing up in an old industrial town with great architecture, Mr. Grasso began his career by capturing images of abandon factories and the intricate patterns on buildings in the downtown area. Since then, he has moved on to landscape photography, a genre that allows him to share the beauty of the places he has visited with people back home. Mr. Grasso has been pursuing his interest in photography for several years and is very excited for the opportunity to display his work in his hometown at the historic Palace Theater. “I am very thankful to the Palace Theater Community Outreach Program for the opportunity to display my pictures, and most importantly, for their support, not only for me, but for other local artists throughout the area,” Grasso said. # # # About the Palace Theater
