Palace Theater Shines Spotlight on Supporters
Donor Reception Pays Tribute to Local Community Leaders

WATERBURY – The Palace Theater is shifting the spotlight behind-the-scenes to give special recognition to the real stars of the performing arts center, its generous corporate members, sponsors and Annual Fund donors of $250 or more.

The donor reception, catered by BayLeaf Gourmet, will take place on the theater’s stage, Tuesday, October 21, and will feature a special tribute to community leaders Joyce and the late John DeCesare, acknowledging the contributions they made as joint chairs of the Palace Theater’s 2007-2008 Annual Fund.

The not-for-profit organization’s development department is also scheduled to unveil its 2008-2009 campaign, centered on the theater’s newest tagline, “Your Palace – Your Place.” The updated fundraising model features expanded Levels of Giving for individuals and business alike, as well as new marketing deliverables designed to add greater value and choice for each investment.

The Palace Theater Annual Fund campaign runs each year from October through May with an overall fundraising goal of $650,000, which is typically generated from direct marketing campaigns and special events.

Companies, corporations, foundations or individuals interested in becoming a corporate member, donating to the Palace Theater Annual Fund, or receiving more information about the theater’s investment deliverables and giving levels, can contact Development Officer Natalie Lawlor at 203-755-8483 x139.
