John Pizzarelli with Jessica MolaskeySeptember 19, 2014
Deemed “The Genial Genius of Guitar” by The Toronto Star, world-renowned jazz guitarist and singer John Pizzarelli has been credited with reinvigorating the Great American Songbook and re-popularizing the genre of jazz.
Using performers like Nat “King” Cole, Frank Sinatra and Joao Gilberto as his inspiration, and the songs of composers like Richard Rodgers, George Gershwin and James Taylor as his guide, Pizzarelli has established himself as one of the prime interpreters of the Great American Songbook, bringing the cool jazz flavor of his brilliant guitar playing and singing to each performance.
Labeled the “The First Family of Cool” by the San Francisco Chronicle, Pizzarelli and his wife, singer/actress Jessica Molaskey, will share the Poli Club stage in this intimate jazz event.
This event is part of New England Arts & Entertainment's Autumn Jazz Series at the Poli Club. Season tickets for all four shows are available for $110 and include a reserved table. Call 203-346-2000 for details.
