Misty Copeland and Open World Dance Foundation present Cinderella starring American Ballet Theatre’s Isabella Boylston and Aran Bell, a collaborative ballet performance that not only promises an evening of enchantment and romance, but also emphasizes the importance of children and community involvement.

In a groundbreaking production, world-renowned American Ballet Theatre stars, local talent, and performers from around the world will unite in Cinderella for an exclusive Connecticut engagement! With swirling ball gowns, brilliant sets, and world-class dancing, Cinderella tells the story of the beloved fairy tale set to the score by Sergei Prokofiev. Together, in collaboration with the prestigious New York City ballet schools, Joffrey Ballet and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Ballet Schools, Waterbury Region's Brass City Ballet and other local Connecticut organizations, Cinderella also serves as a community project offering a unique platform for children to showcase their budding artistic prowess.

This show is more than “just a ballet.” Audience members will also enjoy a special pre-show conversation with Misty Copeland, world-renowned ballerina, author, and philanthropist, as well as have the opportunity to win exclusive raffle prizes while supporting the work and talent of aspiring young dancers from across the country.

Although Misty Copeland will not be dancing, audience members have the unique opportunity to discover her backstage personality as she opens the show by speaking her heart onstage. Following Misty Copeland's presentation and live Q&A session, audience members will enjoy the ballet starring American Ballet Theatre stars, Isabella Boylston and Aran Bell.

“I had the privilege of being the first Cinderella to perform in the community production of Cinderella with Open World Dance. This year I'm honored to support and pass on the opportunity to the next generation!” — Misty Copeland
