Roberto Alfaro shares his incredible journey from living in poverty in the South Bronx and dropping out of high school to becoming a decorated CT Police Officer, actor, author, and inventor.

Never Give Up! Roberto Alfaro overcame multiple challenges to realize his long-held dreams, including being the first person in his family to go to college. He became a Hartford, CT police officer chasing down and apprehending criminals for 21 years of dedicated service, including 15 years as one of the members of the Hartford Police Mounted Unit. In 2000, after he hung up his saddle for the last time and retired, a new career was just unfolding.

Having worked as a professional model since 1992 and an actor since 1995 on a part-time basis, now that he was retired, he was able to devote more time to these two careers as well as booking motivational speaking engagements and publishing two books. In 2014, he was named a "Hamden Notables" honoree, and was invited to throw out the first pitch at a Hartford Yard Goats game last year.

Roberto will share the secrets to his success and the valuable lessons he's learned from wearing many hats during his 2ND ACT presentation.
