In this intimate conversation with moderator Scot Haney, Martha Hall Kelly talks about her writing career and the inspiration for her bestselling novels.

Martha Hall Kelly is the New York Times bestselling author of Lilac Girls, Lost Roses, Sunflower Sisters, and The Martha’s Vineyard Beach and Book Club. Her books have sold more than two million copies and been published in fifty countries. Her next book, about a famous musical golden couple of the 1970s who mysteriously broke up, More Than Famous, comes out May 2027.

Martha was born and raised in Massachusetts, received Journalism degrees from both Syracuse and Northwestern Universities, and worked as an advertising copywriter for many years before becoming a novelist. Martha now splits her time between Litchfield, Connecticut; Hobe Sound, Florida; and New York City.
